Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani-Peruvian Muay Thai fighter and mixed martial artist and currently is a competitor with the UFC flyweight division. Shevchenko is the elder sister of an earlier UFC Flyweight champ and fellow UFC athlete Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko started her combat sports career with a Muay Thai Kickboxer and debuted at the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko was the winner of the event and defeated Suzane Miller in the finals with a unanimity. Antonina Shevchenko won a second prize in 2007, she was awarded a bronze medal in 2008 and a gold in 2011, and was crowned the 2016. IFMA World Amateur MuayThailand Champion. Antonia was first introduced to the professional world in with her debut in 2003. Antonina won the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championships 2012 along with the Lion Fight Lightweight World Championships in 2016 as well as both the WMC World Championships as well as the Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina was a part of Isa TIDBLAD Keskikangas' fight during her final match at the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The winner was a the unanimous verdict. Antonina shevchenko made her debut in a professional MMA fight in 2002 with Anara bayanova, who was fighting at the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan. She took home in the second round of a TKO fight as well as her two matches at WXF: X-Impact World Championships in 2003. She was able to record an overall record of 3-0. Shevchenko was absent from MMA to focus on kickboxing. She made her return in a fight against Anissa Haddaoui on Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko beat Anissa with a majority decision. She then defeated Valerie Domergue at Phoenix FC 4. She resigned from the organization and began Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina's superior strike skills allowed her to TKO Nievera via knees in the back of her. Antonina's UFC contract was renewed following this win. Antonina took part in her UFC debut during the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko was defeated by Roxanne modafferi by split decision following her first fight. Antonina was able to bounce back from the loss, and defeated Lucie Pudilova on UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke and won the fight of the night reward in the fight. Shevchenko lost to Katlyn Cookagian, and defeated Ariane Lipski's three fights. Antonina lost her last fight to Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos-Walker.
